Eirik Rønneberg (1989, Norway) has an art-practice, interdisciplinary in media and form, where he often switches between actions, performances, videos, things, fabrics, drawings, sounds and more. His artworks connect thematically within the confines of politics, nature, humor, crisis and human relations which display as nodes in a network of interactions, transactions, experiences and interruptions in daily life, things left out in public, ideas and thoughts visualised. His focus is to break up everyday life through humorous acts, as well as to - create symbolic actions which is meant to direct the audience or participants to engage in their relation with rigid and unquestioned sociopolitical realities.
Eirik has a background from countercultural anarchist milieus, has a love for the absurd and uses a visual style which is meant to exclaim simple production and urgency as direct and uncomplicated transformations from idea to presentation.
